Transporter

I confess. I did it. I handed our daughter your latest issue of Time magazine. I knew that she would probably tear it into a million pieces. But she was going after my Anthropologie catalog.

I recently ran across this chandelier at Anthropologie. A little piece of my heart always loves seeing objects used in unexpected ways.

I am closing my eyes and picturing myself in some villa from the Italian film "Il Postino." The breeze gently knocking the abalone on the chandelier as the sunlight fills the room. And of course I'm wearing a fabulous dress from Athropologie too - with vintage-looking leather sandals and a hand-crafted leather-bound journal on my lap.

I think that I especially like the chandelier because it transports me. Kind of like a good book. Which reminds me, I need a new bedside book. Any recommendations?

Ode to Amelie

So if I could illustrate what goes on in my mind, it would look a lot like the movie "Amelie." If you haven't seen it yet, it's delicious. I think that it's my adult replacement for the original "Pippi Longstocking" movies I wanted to live out as a child.
As an "Ode to Amelie..."

I (Creedance) like(s):
rose-flavored turkish delight
the way my daughter says "woof"
brushing my teeth with baking soda

I (Creedance) dislike(s):
naturally occurring patterns - like bone marrow, or tastebuds - ack!
when my husband leaves knives in the sink
pigeons

What are your likes/dislikes?
